Add/Remove Items On SendTo Menu

It's a pretty simple task when it comes to adding/removing items on your send to menu in windows XP.

Whether you're tired of seeing a seldom used item, or wanting to add a new more useful item; it can be accomplished in a few easy steps.

Here is a brief summary of how to do this as described on the microsoft website.

Add Item:

To add a destination to the Send To menu, you must add a shortcut to the SendTo folder. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Right click the item you want to add and select "Create Shortcut".
  2. After the shortcut has been created, cut and paste it into the send to folder as follows:
    • Click Start, and then click Run.
    • In the Open box, type sendto, and then click OK.
    • Paste the shortcut in the sendto folder.
Remove Item:
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type sendto, and then click OK.
  3. Delete the shortcut you want to remove.

Make Money Online - Part 2: Secret Shopping

I've already shared one way to make money online through bargain shopping. Now it's time to share another with you. Only this one isn't completely online.

NOTE:Never pay to sign up for a mystery shopping site, if you have to pay then it is most likely a scam!

This tip is Secret Shopping, also known as Mystery Shopping. If you're not familiar with it, you basically go and pose as a typical customer and evaluate service and quality of the product. After you are through you submit a report online with your feedback.

There are many different things you can secret shop for. Some of them are movies, restaurants, fast food, banks, and online surveys. It really all depends on what company you contract through. After doing research on websites like the forum on the Volition website I decided to go with Market Force. After researching/trying several different companies they offered the best options with the easiest workload.

While I can't get into the specific companies they work with, I will say they offer lots of fast food and several other retail stores. They also offer phone shops, where all the work you do is over the phone; these generally pay only $2-$5 dollars. They pay out what most others do, ranging from $5-$20 dollars per shop, with most shops also reimbursing you expenses. For example, you eat at a fast food place, they pay you $10 for the shop and cover the cost of your meal. The only catch is you must be detailed in your feedback to them, often reporting names, exact times, and things of that nature; while also ordering from a select list of items.

If you are skeptical about whether or not they actually pay out, as I was when I began, here is my first check that I received from them for my first months work:
The check is for $139, however about $30 of that is reimbursement for the money I paid during the shops.

To finish this off, I would like to say by no means is this easy money...there is no such thing as easy money. While the work isn't hard, it can be a bit time consuming entering in the feedback. But if you have some extra time to kill and like to get paid to eat, then secret shopping may be for you.

Make Money Online - Part 1

This is part 1 of a series of ways to make money online with minimal effort. While thinking of ways to make a little extra cash while my wife is on maternity leave, I came across this idea.

Using sites like Slickdeals.net and other deal/coupon sites you will often find deals that offer significant rebates (sometimes even full rebates!). The idea is to purchase these items, and then resell them on ebay for normal price.

Take this for example, I found this deal on RAM. It's $45 dollars with a $45 dollar rebate, only thing I had to pay for was $8 shipping. So as long as I sell the RAM for at least $8 on ebay I will break even. Check out my auction!

There are plenty of deals like this to be had, you just have to look! The only downside is it will take time to get your rebate back, so it might not be worth the wait for you. Another thing I should mention, make sure you check on what kind of rebate it is. This particular examples' rebate is in the form of a VISA cash card.
